Create a DVD from a program playing on a Safari site:
Download it to your desktop or record it while it's playing with a program like Snapz Pro http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/ which records anything playing on your screen, and then burn that file (which will be on your computer) to your dvd.
If you use the Firefox extension Video Download Helper https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloadhelper/?src=search you will be able to download the video to your desktop and then burn that. I found that you need to start the video before download helper 'sees' it.

How would you tell a real notification from a fake without relying on Sophos, you ask? All of the fakes I'm aware of use a pop-up browser window to display a web page that looks like a real notification. However, the real updater would be a separate application--it would not run in your browser. So if you see a pop-up telling you to update Flash, but your menu bar still shows the menus for your browser (including a menu with the name of the browser), then you can be sure that it's a fake.
